Welcome to Ka’Chi Truck

Now, that the summer is about to begin, Ka’Chi has a bunch of events that will become staples throughout the hot season. We wanted to give you a preview of what to keep your eye out for if you want to catch us this summer. Of course, we have many other events lined up, but you’ll just have to wait to see what those are as they come up. Check out the list below to see when Ka’Chi is coming to a place near you!

EGFM

The East Goshen Farmers’ Market is an outdoor market in East Goshen Park every Thursday 3-7pm. Come out and enjoy the park while you get some of the local fare. Stay posted to our schedule to see when we will be there.

PHAIR

PHAIR is Philly’s first open air market with a wide variety of vintage, handmade, and food vendors. This is a brand new market located around 23rd and Arch Streets, and we’re really excited to be a part of it. It is every Saturday from 10a-5p starting May 18th. Be sure to check it out the opening week! Ka’Chi will be there June 29, July 20, August 3,  October 19, and November 2.

The Artisan Exchange

This indoor market is sticking around for the summer. Some of the same vendors you’ve seen in the winter market are coming back throughout the summer season as well. They have music, food, and artisan vendors every Saturday, 10a-2p. Check our schedule to see when Ka’Chi will be serving up food to the locals.

The Porch

The Porch at 30st Street Station has a great lineup for the summer season as well with monthly changes of food, music, and other events. Ka’Chi will be there July 12, 19, and 26th.

Chaddsford Winery

We’ve got some spots lined up to serve you some food while you sip wine. Come out to the beautiful Chaddsford Winery to enjoy the scenery and wine. Ka’Chi will be there August 10, August 18,  and September 8 and counting.

That’s right! The Vendy’s are on their way to Philly.  It’s time to put your nominations in for BEST street food vendor in the city. Wanna nominate your favorite food truck in Philly? Just fill out the form HERE.

This is the 3rd Annual Philadelphia Vendy’s and they always seem like a good time! The Vendy Awards benefit a local organization, The Food Trust.

It’s that time again! Get ready for the next season of Philly Night Markets.

Come out for a great night of food and fun Thursday, May 16th at 22nd Street and Fairmount Ave.  We’ll be there along with some of the area’s other unique and delicious food trucks from 6-10pm. It is always an AWESOME event.  Come early! Come hungry!

Yes, Badderer IS a real word…. but that’s beside the point. Last year Swarthmore Co-op put on the first ever Food Truckathon and we were ecstatic to be a part of it. The event was such a Ginormous success (yes ginormous is real, I checked =p), that this Friday 4/19 Swarthmore Co-op is putting on the 2nd Food Truckathon! The Bigger & Badderer version with 15 trucks from the Philly/Chester/Bucks county area. We are glad to be back this year and to be serving again at this event. It is a BYOB event, so grab a bottle and support your local food trucks!

Just in case you didn’t know, we are part of the Artisan Exchange Indoor Market in West Chester! The new market opened up few weeks back and has been buzzing ever since. Indoors you will find local baked goods, chocolate, cheese, fresh pasta, pops and much more! Come by and check it out one of these Saturdays 10-2pm at 208 Carter Dr West Chester, PA. We will be kicking it outside with Lulu’s Cafe and Dia Doce for your lunch/dessert options!

Mark your calendar for this Sunday to be at the Chester County Restaurant Festival in WC! We are making our debut appearance to the revamped event. It’s going to be bigger than ever as you can roam around Gay AND Market St this year. We are excited to be serving you our Korean grub, so come find us at the corner of Market & Church St. See you on Sunday! Wow, is it just us or did the summer fly by? Or were we in a coma the past few months from the heat melting our brain? Nonetheless, as hot as it was, we had a great summer as we got to roam around Chester county, lost some water weight, ventured into Philly and met some really awesome people. Some of you have seen us at the events we were at this summer such as Vintage Garage Sale, Swingin Summer Thursday, Good Neighbor Day, and Night Market and we thank you for coming out to support us in the heat! Even though the summer is almost over with schools back in session as of tomorrow, we will be active in attending events leading into the fall. So keep your eyes peeled as we update our truck schedule on a week to week basis. Few events on the horizon are: DTown Fall Fest, Philly Bike Expo, East Goshen Farmers Market, West Chester Restaurant Festival and more! And of course we are excited to be back to serve WCU students and staff for the 2012-2013 school year!

So it has come to our attention that we don’t have a name for our beloved truck! I guess we have been calling it a few nicknames here and there like Bessie, and Bertha. But like all great vehicles of transportation we thought she should get a proper name. That’s where you come in. Help us come up with a name for her! The name can be food related but it doesn’t have to be. Just as long as we can pronounce it, not make us embarrassed to say in front of our grandparents and legal to possibly print it on a shirt, we should be ok!
